Elgin Turners is one of 53 societies belonging to the American Turners and 1 of 5 societies in the Illinois District.  We are a family organization, encouraging people of all ages to be mentally and physically active.  Our motto, "A Sound Mind in a Sound Body", explains the purpose of the Turners.

The Elgin Chapter of the American Turners has been a part of the Elgin community for 160 years.  A few of the things we are known for in the community are our weekly fish fry and haunted house.

Our Haunted House has recently been renovated and we have returned it to a Gymnasium.  Since its renovation the turners have hosted a number of sports related events including but not limited to; 3x3 basketball and bags tournaments.  The gym is open to all members and their families during regular club hours.

Elgin turners served their first fish fry at the turner hall in 1939.  we have continued the tradition and open our doors to the public every friday year round.  over years, the names and faces have changed but we are still committed to serving a good meal at a reasonable price to elgin and the surrounding areas.

Please stop by and see what its all about any friday.

Convenient parking at the Fulton St. garage with a walkway to the Elgin Turners back door.

We are a private Non-Profit organization.  Our greatest asset is our membership.

their never ending capacity for volunteerism and dedication to keeping our Turner Heritage Alive.
